Hey guys and gal, yes totally agree - was good fun, great mates (who made the cruise what it was), thrilling roads, spectacular scenery and an opportunity to learn more about your car

Thanks to all those who led us around the roads - senna_T alot of the way, and just about everyone else took the lead at some stage. And also thanks to tab for looking after the rear most of the way to ensure we didn't lose anyone

Can't believe we had 9 cars (11 people) come along with most of us staying for the VIC extension mini-VIC Alpine cruise

Some facts and figures (related to my trip anyway):

Petrol 194 litres $315

Food $120

Accomodation $280

Total $715 for the trip (excludes costs of servicing to prepare the car for the trip - machined brake rotors, new pads, oil change, etc )

Left front door 7am Fri and got back 4:30pm Mon - with 22 hours in the actual saddle

Travelled total door to door 1710 km and averaged in my 4 speed BA T 12.8 litres/100km

Car breakdowns - None

Stone chips - lots

Beer and other beverages consumed - "what happens on tour stays on tour"

Thanks everyone who came along (and their partners for letting them come along ) - really appreciate it that you found it worthwhile - great mates and great times. Here's looking to next year - possibly 15-17 Nov 2013 (pending dates for Snake Gully races at Tumut )

I cannot believe I just found this topic for the cruise. I am genuinely sooo farkin upset that it happened this week. If only I saw this earlier (well I only had my car for 3 weeks now anyway...)

I take it this is a yearly event so lock me in for next years cruise ( il need to remember to pay for my own fuel though as I doubt work would appreciate me using the fuel card....).

And unless the lady is pregnant next year she will be there with me.

I couldnt of found this a few weeks earlier deeeeyargh!!!
