Assault 5:35Pm 18Th Feb - Hay St W. Perth - Info Wanted

Driver of a white VT (or VX?) Late model camira was involved in an assault this afternoon at 5:35pm on Hay St West Perth, just past the end of Ventnor Ave. Any info greatly appreciated.

Rego plates were old yellow style 9IY 553 (listed as unregistered etc on web site). Possibly "9RY" but this doesn't work in the rego check site.

Person in question had very short hair (probably shaves it), caucasian with a bit of a tan, average height but slimmer build. Forearm tattoos on at least the right arm. Face looked rough in general, white trash spec... Also had a passenger in the car with him at the time who had scraggly looking hair from what I saw.

If anyone knows a witness to the incident please let me know, traffic was stopped dead due to the busy lights so plenty of people would have seen it happen. Driver got out of his car and walked to the rear of his car back to mine, then punched me through the open window (put windows up folks, they don't want to talk to you).

Filing a report in the morning, hopefully he's on parole or something, looked like the type.

What did you do to stir him up? People do t just get out their cars and punch others without a reason.

Not shaken up, punch to the face isn't the end of the world, was more worried about bleeding on my seat!

He cut me off with a no indicate lane change, beeped him so him and passenger flipped the bird. My mistake then was giving the wanker gesture back to him, he got right out and showed me how much he valued my opinion. I drive with window down usually and didn't think to put it up, not expecting a punch over that but live and learn kiddies...

Sorry to hear this. Alot of people on drugs in this day and age and are just unpredicatable. You gotta get those window up quick when someone aggresive approaches.

Small consolation is the car us unmarked. Filming him would have certainly escalated it.
