Will do.

I have to duck out today for a half hour or so - better not come home to a "We missed you" delivery card in the mailbox

Doesn't look like today is Xmas :(

No deliveries yet - no cards, so I don't think they turned up during the half hour that I was out.

All good - gives me a bit longer for the wallet to recover before I book it in to get the rest done.

Am searching through ashtrays for ciggy butts at the moment and I don't even smoke

I'm sure you'll get plenty of opportunity to blow his doors off ;)

Will be funny - am trying to get him to come to Calder for the day.

He seriously thinks he's got the run over me.

His mums (my ex) BF has a Senator - am trying to line up a day to school them both in what a taxi can do against the pretty HSV's.

Ok - only a couple of weeks overdue, but finally all done :D

Thanks heaps to @JETURBO for lining up the kit and following up with Harrops on their delays.

Dropped the car into Pitlane yesterday for them to install and do some other maintenance work (front control arm bushes, timing case and crankshaft seals) and can't commend them enough on their work and attitude. Need to remember to tell the kids not to expect me home anytime soon - always end up chatting and forgetting the time.

I apologise for the potato pics - sky is dark and car needs a wash.

Anyway:

Harrop Ultimate Brake kit - 6/4 pot, 381/355mm 2 piece rotors - comes with steel braided lines and Bendix Ultimates (the rears are bigger than the OEM fronts lol)

Fresh Conti Sport Contact 5P rubber

Rotors and calipers the night they turned up: (JD for scale - they're friggin monsters)

Side shot (not a good pic - sorry)

Closer up (I know - needs a wash). They definitely fill the rim a lot better than the stock 322mm rotors do.

Not too sure on my colour choice for the calipers yet - will reserve judgement til the cars clean and I can see it all in the sun. They stand out like dogs balls at the moment.

At least they're not green :P

I've weighed all the new calipers/rotors and will weigh the original stuff when I get a chance - am tipping the huge kit won't come with much weight penalty (if any) - front rotors are a decent amount lighter for starters (381mm vs 322mm solid) - I think the rears may be a bit heavier (steel center to the hat for handbrake and 355mm vs 303mm solid). The calipers will be interesting.

Will find a quiet stretch of road tomorrow and look like a turkey bedding in the brakes :S

Will try a give the car a wash and get some more pics showing clearance etc.
