Stageas are slowwwww unless its had manual conversion or hell work done to it... :P

Pretty much same weight as falcon without anywhere near the power. The c34 s1 was a fuel guzzler too (need s2 cause neo engine).

But BFYB XR6T ;)

Fark buying an auto Stagea!

Aristo's are pretty cool, as are the Chasers.

It'd be an M35 Stagea, so VQ25DET. Pretty easy to get 300kw at all 4 out of them. I've got a mate sending me details of an Aristo that's owned by a guy at protune, who deal with 2J stuff, so I'm hoping it'll be a good'n.

I was keen on a Falcon because they're newer than all the import stuff I'm used to, but it hasn't translated into better condition :(

Didn't realise they did turbos in that engine (well thought it was rare in a stagea anyways). Is that going to be within the 8-12k range you have put for the falcons above?

The problem is jap cars lie most of the time, could have 300,000kms but only say 100,000 on the dash....but if you have mates/do work yourself and have jap hookups, then easier to stick to what you know (and just deal with the older tech and design of jap interiors :P)

It's one of the only turbo VQs, good engine and definitely in that price range. It can be a bit of a gamble with imports but I'm usually ok at spotting a fraud. I normally love buying cars but it's a bit of a pain this time. Might have to try and stump up a bit of extra coin and look for an FG. Anyone want to buy a VX SS with a blown headgasket for $4k? lol

WOW....was gunna say...that why I stayed away from the M35...cause only saw the gay v6 and no turbos. Only way I'll ever be back in a stagea is if I can find a 260RS version :P

That's the probs with Jap crap for me....they hold their value too good and usually the only cheap ones can have problems (but that's with any car really). Just frustrating how much money we lose on our falcons, yet a 15 yr old import will stay the same price for 10 years lol

If you can go up in $$$ you will probs get a pretty decent XR6T....I just know all the good ones are usually over 15k (and things under 9k need work or getting old and just want to sell it off).

Out of curiosity...how many kms has the vx done before the gasket went? Think you'll need to fix that before trying to sell :P (otherwise jokers will offer you 2k) good luck!

SS has 270km, 210k on the engine (replaced under warranty because of piston slap) but it only did a HG because the radiator let go and it got a bit hot. I replaced the rad and it actually runs and drives fine, doesn't get hot, just left some oil in the coolant, so I'm really assuming it needs a HG. No water in the oil. I'll try to get rid of it as is, as it needs too much other stuff, rear main, PS pump etc etc. About $3500 to get it sorted and then it'll probably need a clutch anyway.

And it's slow and boring.

Will probably part it out so some drifter can have an LS1 and T56 for their Silvia, leather and body stuff to a P plater for his exec. That's the plan anyway.

I like that plan....then tell the drifter to whack a turbo or SC kit on....mmmmmmm

Wish I could afford to do something cool and crazy....but no skills and would cost too much and I'd want it engineered/street regoed bahahaha
