In reference to the earlier comment that all petrol is the same......occasionally, my Megane RS250 struggles for the first 30secs when it has been parked outside during the day.  I only use Shell and Caltex (98 RON).

I have only encountered this problem when I have filled up with Caltex.  I cannot recall it ever happening with Shell.

A couple of Months ago, my Son borrowed the car and mentioned that  he filled up the tank for me.  During the following week, I had the issue of rough idling on cold start.  I asked him if he could tell me which fuel he used....you guessed it...Caltex.

So I find it hard to believe that they are the same fuel.

hmmmmmm interesting that you actual mention this.

This could be the problem I have in the mornings, getting the car started.

might have to go out for a 400km cruise before monday morning and then fill up with bp98.

;)

I know it does. It's not the fuel.

I was making at statement.

I have recently come across some info that confirms it is not the fuel.
