Looks like a great car for a funeral.

Agree totally!!... this car is lacklustre, dull, boring, & would not warrant a 2nd glance if you drove past it!.. Unless you really took notice, it could easily be mistaken for a statesman! Once again this will be just a stretched falcon, on a wagon floorpan, with a bit of fake woodgrain trim!

If Ford want to persist with the luxury market, they should be looking at how BM, or Mercedes approach it!...

We were playing spot the fairlanes when we were at broadmeadows last week.

They look interesting... better than the AU, but not really my cup of tea.

maybe throw in a blown boss 290 in it, 2 stage nitrous kit, strip the interior, full roll cage, race seat, slicks, and front runners... and I might be tempted to drive it.

hehe

Crapness. this is pretty crap, too many shortcuts. it shares the same headlights and taillights as a normal falcon. I dont think I have seen this done in the lwb models. it looks like a stretched falcon and that's all. in my opinion ill sum it up in two words sh*tty effort.

I like the front but not the rear.

At least the rear of the Fairlane looks better than the rear of the VY Statesman

With the low volumes that these sell against the standard Falcon I think you guys should be happy it looks like a Herse come, same head light tail light Darth Vader mobile. Think of the cost your new XR6T would have been if the design and product development for this car was incorpurated in the price. Good work ford!!! keep it up. ( Remember differant market target from use non inbreed types )

Looking at the back of the Caprice, it leads me to believe that Expensive Daewoo may be in some sort of financial strife...

First they buy their Late model camira tail lights from excess Mitsubishi Magna stock, and now they get their Statesman/Caprice tail lights from excess AU Fairlane stock!!!

I don't know what Mike Simcoe is doing now, but it's obviously not watching his design staff!

OK guys, I dont know about the photos posted here, but I am in WA, and I went to the Auto Expo and saw the G220 in the flesh, and I think it looks awesome. The photos presented here really arent doing the car justice. It really is a wicked looking car
