Yeah I should hit 6000km's with my 6sp April 05 T on my way home tonight!!!  and 3000 on the current engine!!!  Your T should have just settled down in terms of gearbox stiffness, fuel economy etc.

What colour is the ute and what part of Perth do you reside?

What did you do with the old clutch??

I'm in willetton. The ute's mandarin with factory 18s and leather. It's one of those magnet jobbies. Stock clutch and flywheel were ripped out at 3000kms and is just sitting at home. Still look pretty good, although my clutch fluid was black! flushed that straight out n put sum good sh*t in

its actually quite a bit stiffer its rated at 400rwkw and its ceramic so not so good in car parks. Got it all tuned but only managed 332.2rwkw with the exhaust holding me back big time. new exhaust and retune on the way I need 360rwkw before I do my internals in approx 3months then 430rwkw here we come. Simon did a great job getting my power curve linear as to give me any chance of getting some traction in the ute. Just waiting on some mt streets and exhaust and retune and plex here we come.

Good stuff, yeah I was supprised when I drove a typhoon as the twin plate clutch was heaps lighter than my 6sp standard T clutch. Im no clutch expert but is yours a single plate and is that why its stiffer?

yeah the clutch is single plate when I get a chance I'll post the dyno graph when I get a chance the curve is silky smooth no dips or spikes any where. The ute just keeps stepping out in 2nd and 3rd half way through the rev range even in dry, 1st is useless and I've got brand new dunlop sp9000 245/40 18s. Lots of fun though, actually got the clutch slipping between gears and its rated at 400rwkw so I dunno maybe 2 much torque.

What nm did it go?? Sounds like fun!! Much axle tramp?? if so capa do anti tramp things for 70 bucks or something!!

Talking burnouts....some dude last night at about 10:30pm near stirling trains tation did a burnout that filled about 500m of road with smoke. I didnt see or here it but drove through just after. Incredible amount of smoke, I havent even seen the marks yet as I thought it was mist until I put the window down to have a smell. Had to be there to believe how much there was.

u get sum axle tramp on take off but othrwise when its moving it just steps out but seems to be rather controllable. Torques around the 720nm mark apparantly those capa anti tramp rods are useless I'm sending my leafs out to get reset lower and slightly softer soon and that should help traction as well as the 275/ 17 mickey thompson street tyres for the rear.

As for the burnout yeah I see ppl doing them all the time those anti-hoon laws don't seem to stop any1.
