Boganspeed Will do skids for food Legacy Donating Member 1,177 Member For: 14y 8m 21d Gender: Male Location: Perth SOR Posted 12/02/14 03:02 PM Posted 12/02/14 03:02 PM So just some photos of interest.This is the inside of my Turbo GSXR1000 Suzuki that I was running on C16 fuel last season.It's been stripped for a freshen up in preparation for running on methanol next season, if it's finished in time.Check out the deposits on the piston and valves.It looks just like rust and is not pretty at all.But if you think that's ugly, have a look at the exhaust ports !Looks like I've been running it on sea water.The rusty deposits also show up in the turbo and I've actually been hit in the hand by a bit of rust that flew out of the dump pipe when I was next to the bike on the dyno !Fkn hurt too :(Apparently this is not unusual behaviour for C16 but I have to say I won't be using it again. I'm told running it on alcohol will keep the inside of the motor super clean.Hopefully it'll keep the pistons in one piece as well. 1
