Took the missus for a cruise last night and spotted a very nice silver Force 6 near the galleria.

He gave it a squirt, I gave it a squirt, he turned off and the missus said I should follow him so we could have a play.

(I knew there was a reason I married her!)

But all I could think of was being hoon law'd so I said "no, we're supposed to be grown ups" and let him go.

I'm so lame :(

I must say moving back up from Mandurah, does have me edge with the number of cameras and cops.

I do miss the country style roads with less attention.

You should try the drive to Lake King even for a weekend :/

Had to retrain myself once I got back up here, hitting some numbers overtaking that would excite the patrols very muchly and felt like nothing to me after cruising at those speeds on the long lonely stretches.

You can't do anything anymore. I got a $200 fine the other night for doing 61kph in a 50kph zone. I never knew that if there are no speed signs, the speed limit defaults to 50KPH. So I looked it up and sure enough this law came to effect in 2001. But I was never told.

Over 30kph its $800.

All the more reason to drive a car that posts the speed limit. Getting fines suck....

My $70 GPS navigator does that. Didn't help with my most recent fine. $100 for doing only 6 kmph over, such BS we have to cop something like that when it's a simple mistake.
