What gives you the drive to to do that sort of stuff and those lengths especially, is it for the greater good (helping a brother out), or is it business, or is it for that inner sense of gratification and accomplishment that you made a difference, or simply just day-to-day getting sh*t done that needs to be done ?

Basically, my instinct.

It's not worth doing though - the time that I've put into this sort of stuff, plus the loss of income, means that I actually lose out when I hunt down phone owners.

I ask people to take it up with Swan Taxis and make a fuss out of it so that I can get some brownie points, but that doesn't happen either. Swan are happy to prosecute me in their internal tribunal for stupid crap such as refusing to drive an abusive old guy down his driveway (I don't go down driveways at night) but they won't do anything positive if I do something like get creative and locate a phone owner.

Well, the ute goes in to get the door scrape fixed today. My options were a full door respray or a sand back and touch up on the edge of the door. I've opted for the latter because I cbf with a whole door respray for a 4-5cm scratch on the edge of the door, would mean I'd possibly get a slight difference in paint when comparing to the rest of the car if I did the whole door.

Good thing with ute's.... I can load my bike up on the back so when I drop it off I don't need to bs around with taxi's or getting someone to pick me up.

its the little differences that get me though... between road and dirt.... I always put my right foot down so I can use the gears when I stop/start. its minus 1 point in the test if I do it (losing 4 is a fail). and the riding position for turning is the exact opposite for road/dirt. see how we go
