Is there anywhere in Perth that still does drift events for public to try it out ?

Antilag Motorsport do track days at Collie, I think some of that is drifting as well.

Must be a time you can hit up Barbs though surely?

Barbs do have sessions, but you pay more if you don't have membership.

Am in the same boat, but don't want to be drifting with the nitro invos. I am on a hunt for two 19" rims like mine so that I can chuck on cheap tires like the atr sports 2 to go drifting.

Still have not found any rims.

Yeah I know what you mean masda, I'd be wanting to slap a pair of sh*tters on just so I don't trash my current rims too.

Would running say an 18" be an entirely bad thing though really?

Nah he loves his rims too much and doesn't want to look like a boy racer with mismatched rims lol

Plus 19" on the front and 18" on the rear would look weird.

'drifting' is not the main purpose for him wanting to buy a spare set of rears....its cause he wants to be like Steve on the next night cruise ;)

19 front and 18 rear looks normal if they are same style wheel I run 19 on the front of my El turbo and 18 on the back because 18 inch tyres are so much cheaper if your gonna go drifting take a few sets as you will probably only get 3 laps out of a set at barbs the track is aggressive and shreds tyres.

Best bit to learn on I reckon is the bowl out the back just as you start to head up the hill give the clutch a kick in third let go of the steering wheel slighly and let it slide. The back bit is good because there's no wall right there like there is through the s's and the hill helps the car not pick up huge speed.
