Do any of you guys know why a BA 4 Speed would not shift into 4th gear at all, otherwise seems to drive fine other than common Fluid level/condition issue is there a common cause to this?

check the passenger side of the box ... the cable may need adjusting (little manual plastic adjustment) ... or it may be slightly coming off

S4 solenoid might be shagged ( iirc this is the bugger that shifts into 4th )

4th gear is the s1 solenoid. Theres only two solenoids that control gear selection the rest are pressure control.

1st gear S1+S2

2nd gear S2

3rd gear neither solenoid

4th S1

This is how I run the btr in full manualised. So if you have 1st then I doubt it's the solenoid.
