got my sub installed today, but I have engine noise commin through the speakers :( the guy said its cos I kept the stock deck. Any way I can get rid of it?

is it electrical noise , hissing, etc

describe it better.

does it go up as you turn up volume or as you rev engine.

Depending on what it is theres tricks to reduce it, not get it away completly by adjusting amp gains and headunit volumes/tuning.

Also the hardest thing is to diagnose what causes the problem as it could be many many things. That guy took the easy way out blaming the headunit, in my scenario that's what they diagnosed was causing my noise but they shut the hell up once I plugged ipod straight to processor and noise was still there.

ended up stripping whole car, trying maybe about 50 things, rerun some power etc.

um, when I start the car with the stereo on you can hear the engine turn over, when the volume is down low you can hear the engine, put my foot down and you can hear the turbo spooling haha sounds pretty cool but its anoying me. If the stereo is up you cant hear it so that my solution for now.
