Excellent work Ken :stirthepot:

Kept thinking something needed to be done, just had to wait for

SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME

to volunteer :pinch:

Much appreciated mate.

Aaron.

Thanks mate,

I'll give it a go ... luckily, I'm not organising sea-faring adventures, otherwise I might end up walking the plank?

You will be required to sign Forum Cruise Forms on the day.

:k24t:

You will of course need to provide copys of this document before hand so we can have it inspected by legal council, before signing it......and Saleen will need it to show to his mum before he can come... :beerchug:

BEWARE! His lordship is now in full control... :spoton:

Due to other commitments, the "sometimes bearded or shaved one" has vacated the NSW Cruise Controller position and I have been appointed the new nazi. If you have any cruising suggestions, please do not hesitate to PM me and share your ideas.

Big thanks to Ken for running the ship recently. :idunno:

Nazi? Apparently people take offence to the use of that word.

Congrats on your appointment though Lord :spoton:

Hi Guys,

I will be in Albury on 3 Aug for work and was going to cruise from there to Corryong to Tumut to Adaminby then down to Benambra to Suggan Buggan and back home to Melbourne.

Would there be any locals up that way that would be interested in joining me for part of the way in NSW or VIC?

Better still, if anyone has any suggestions for the general route through that area, please let me know.

Plan to do it over 2 nights 3 days (or maybe less depending on how I go). I read its quite scenenic through that part of NSW and VIC (not been through the area before during winter). Plan to stay on sealed roads all the way and stay away from the snow bound roads I.e. stay below the snow line :smilielol:

Don't forget to pack a set of chains. You'll need to carry them on part of your route.

Hi Cro,

Thanks for that advice. Just hope I can avoid the snow and ice and get some good scenic views along the way.

Are you guys going to do a Snowy Mountains cruise later this year?

I'd like to, just need to make sure the new cruise Nazi's don't have anything planned in November :spoton:

Oh and I need to make the whinging Mexican's route to the hotel a bit shorter this time :spoton:

Couple of things for you to do on your run,

Check out Yarronbilly (something like that, can't remember the name) Caves about 70km out of Tumut on the Snowy Mountain Hwy. Have a nice dip in their natural hot spring.

Be ware though the route down to the caves and up from them is dirt, although better than most sealed roads in Sydney.

Head over to Jindabyne, then South to Thredbo and down a very windy 30km (from memory) section of road to Murray 1 Power Station. Stop over at Scammel Spurs lookout (very nice view), and visit the powerstation for a coffee.

Go to Khancoban 10mins down the road and cross the river to get back into Vic. You're on your own from there :)

Optimax and Mobil Premium (not Synergy) is available in Tumut

BP Ultimate and Shell Premium (not Optimax) is available in Jindabyne

Shell Premium (not Optimax) is available in Khancoban

However, by law you will need to carry chains (even on the route you specified).

Ivan
