Nah he just quizzed me as to why our old saucepans won’t do.... 

 

I kindly informed him we bought the set of 3 saucepans 10 years ago for $80 and randomly buy a new $30 frypan from coles every time it bows... so these will be much better and last ages...

Nah I’m just like if a round thing can boil water and cook a steak at what point does it stop and do we just get them then. You know, if it aint broke don’t fix it type thing, but oh no being a bunch of coins down will somehow magically make the boiling point of water drop from 100*c to 95*c and get me my Pasta quicker lol

Yerp my round things aren't as round as they should be but if they still hold heat when you chuck a steak on they're good. Mine aren't great, except a cheap but good 5 pot/pan set the in laws bought us. The big w pan is balls.

 

I'm sure my water boils at 105c due to the excess metal in the pipes up here

A very nice steak, this one, but nothing special with regard to it's cut etc with beans and potatoes from the missus' garden

Went back to the same place as in this post for the GF's b'day with her friends... still as absolutely epic and as excellent as the first time I went there.

 

I had the 300-day grain-fed 600g T-Bone cooked medium-rare. Deliciously high marbling and it just melted in your mouth.

 

GF had the 400g New York Sirloin cooked medium-rare which was that same 40+ dry-aged beef... I ate a big chunk of this one, too... absolutely delicious.

 

Two couples each shared a 700g Ribeye On The Bone 40+ day dry aged cooked medium-rare...

 

Another couple had the same 500g Ribeye On The Bone 40+ day dry-aged cooked medium-rare that I had previously and a serving of the Barramundi for something different.

 

One dessert had was the Dark Chocolate Mousse

 

Another was an Affogato with Espresso Shot

 

I'm told the cocktails were average (espresso martini and cosmopolitan) but the wine was fantastic (had a house Shiraz and a house Pinot Noir) all from our local area.
