just about to hit the 5000k mark and the trip computer is showing 14.8l/100km. Manual calculation works out to be 14.6l/100km.

BTW I have just started running PULP all the time so It will be interesting to see the results. One owner I know has experienced 10% better fuel economy on PULP in a Merc and is hoping for same results in the Turbo

My old VN Calais had the instant fuel read out and average fuel read out on the computer readout. I found that if I wanted to test the fuel consumption when I drove it normally then I had to clear all the figures on the inboard computer and start from scatch in order to do the economy test accurately.

With out doing this you cant really see how economical the car really can be when driving normally. I'm sure the BA allows you to clear the old data on the trip/economy meter.

Mine has done 4.5 k and I cant get under 17. Ive left it in drive, put an egg shell on the go pedal, didnt squash it, and still cant get better economy and that's on pulp shell (no optimax in SA)

Just under 3,500 on the clock, and fuel economy now hovering around 14.6-14.8L/100km. Have not reset the calculator since I picked up the car. Run it almost exclusively on Optimax, and needs a few freeway runs now and again to get it to stay around 14.6.

vik351, Mines the same but its cause I've left it idling a few times. Using fuel and going nowhere really stuffs your average.

Nearing the 15K service now and economy has settled to about 11.2l/100 but the trip computer still reads about a litre high. Most of my driving is highway stuff - my average speed is usually about 55km/h from the trip comp.

I have nearly finished my first tank of petrol, (it was full out the dealership!!!) and I am only going to get 380km out of it, I do have to drive up a mountain everyday on my way to work. I suppose this and the gact it has less than 500km on it would contribute to that.
