Hi all how are we?

My brother is going to buy a brand new Typhoon or XR6 Turbo in the next two weeks, just wondering what sort of drive away price do you think he should be paying at the moment considering the BF is an aging model and the new one is just around the corner?

What’s a good deal?

In Typhoon his looking for

19 inch wheels ( The Black ones) and Leather

In Xr6 T he only wants Leather and what ever else they are pacaging at the moment seems fine.

Thoughts please

Thank you

One tip, leave it as close as possible to the end of the month, some salesmen might be desparate to get their sales quota's and offer some good discounts.

The Bf MkII's now come standard with 18's, premo sound and a few other bits. BUT, there will be a few around that are sitting in dealers or in holding yards that won't have those goodies as standard yet.

I would expect:

XR6T with leather around $41-42K (in auto)

Typhoon with leather and Dark Argent wheels - around $54,500

Both of those are drive away.

For a BF MkII without leather, around $40K.

Use the above as a guide to what your prepared to throw at them. The last sunday of every month tends to be the day that dealers will sell at cost in order to meet monthly sales targets and therefore get there bonuses. As always got as many dealers you can, 10 + even and haggle between all of them until someone gives you the price you want. They will always beat one another not just in price but in options as well.

If you turned up on there door step with 41K in cash and said this is what I want im sure you would get it.

Dont know about the F6, but less likely to budge I would imagine.

I was researching this just the other day, I found a XR6T cloth model, in black, with the premium sound system, the dynamic stability controller, and the bigger screen, for $41,500 drive away, with the ZF6 Speed Auto. that's at the Ford dealer in southport, QLD.

Brilliant buy at that price, when you consider a auto equipped SS would be 10 grand more...

Also, the 'run out' models will be out in 2 weeks apparently, with $3000 worth of equipment for 'no cost'.
