2. Spread smooth Kraft peanut butter.

3. Spread appricot jam over the peanut butter.

You shouldnt need to add butter unless you are using a heavy nutted Peanut butter in that case you need to use a little butter just so the Peanut butter spreads evenly & without ripping up half the bread.
