Circulating at a great rate of knots. What compound slicks are you running? It's amazing what a set of slicks will do for handling.I went along to give my Falcon a shakedown. Been before in my rex, but never in the big girl.I was in the Yellow XR6T, but only got one session in. Lot's of banging and rattling from the clutch the ruiner of my day. I suspect a loose flywheel. Will find out tomorrow when I drop the box.Only managed ten laps, and only started to get confident with the tyres (street compound slicks) towards the end of the session. Managed a low 1:14 as I started to lean on it a bit. Few seconds left in the big girl though.
Rosie Member 361 Member For: 19y 3m 7d Posted 21/12/09 06:49 AM Posted 21/12/09 06:49 AM Wondered where you got to!Running Hoosiers for the moment!- The control Tyre on the Bianti Touring Cars!- Tyres are ok, but not withour Suspension, Springs and Camber adjustments, etc, etc.- Been working on it for a long time now!Looking at Michelin full Slicks in the New Year. You should come over and say G'day next time!- We're a harmless bunch!I hope you get a break with the Clutch and Fly Wheel....
Rosie Member 361 Member For: 19y 3m 7d Posted 21/12/09 07:07 AM Posted 21/12/09 07:07 AM Forgot to mention, you have to run a minimum of 3.5 degrees negative Camber on the front for Hoosiers!- They recommend it and if you don't, you will have the Steel hanging out of the Shoulders in one Day!- I put 4 on the front and 2 on the back and the whole thing is 'very' forgiving if you go in too hot!We are shopping around for second hand Porsche Slicks for Day to Day Track Days.
