Morning @k31th!

Bought my spectator ticket for powercruise in Perth this morning! Friday to Sunday (2nd to the 4th), keen to go for the 3 days!

Couple of mates from the car community with some serious rigs are going so I'm keen to hop in and ride along! :3gears:

One day the daily will enter but that's a long time coming - baby steps 😏

So I've been digging into the whole garret bankruptcy situation this morning to find out more about this asbestos situation. Turns out Honeywell own Bendix brakes and the asbestos is from the brakes made back in the day that used asbestos.

"Garrett sought bankruptcy protection Sunday with a plan to sell itself to private equity firm KPS for $2.1 billion. The reimbursements Garrett owes to Honeywell relate to asbestos claims stemming from Honeywell’s old Bendix brake business."

Ordered some Prado 150 calipers, rotors and pads for the Hilux.

Turns out they're a straight swap, just have to drill the caliper mounting holes from 12mm to 14mm.

Pads are a heap bigger and it'll go from a 319mm rotor to 338mm.

Cheapest big brake kit ever, under 1k haha

I'll post in there when it arrives. I'm going to see if I can correct a muscle imbalance in my left gastrocnemius.
