It depends how you've got it hooked up.

 

There are substantial rebates if you become part of a virtual grid but it doesn't work when the power goes out.

 

You can get it hooked up to work when the power goes off but you lose all the rebates.

 

I suppose a generator or two would do the job too.

I'm sure somebody would half-arse a switching system to allow you to get the rebate and also be able to work when the grid is offline, but would require a manual switching of some sort... just speculating, realistically.

Yeah you'd think that it could work like that anyway hey. What do you reckon @JETURBO?

 

I'll have to do some more reading when the time comes to get a battery, cos the legislation changes fairly often for various reasons.

That looks good mate! I lived up there as a teenager and used to ride the treadly to millaa falls after school for a swim.

I would like to but I think we better play safe a bit.  Plus it may be to short notice for some and maybe finances tight for some as well.  Probably better to aim for maybe March next year in my opinion?
