I haven't listened to the old masters for a long long time.

My wife doesn't have the same affinity for the rock legends of yesteryear.

I'm showing my age now, but Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Creedence and the Stones were all hanging on the walls of my bedroom as a teenager.

She had posters of Johnny Farnham, Ronnie Burns and Normie Rowe.

Only after we were married, did she tell me the only reason she listened to them on the 8-track in the car was to get into my pants!

Now I have to be subjected to Julio or some other wet eared poofta singing love lullabies to get into hers.

Also in the SBS Classic Albums series (if it's the one I think it is) is an episode on Deep Purple - Machine Head. Gives the complete story behind Smoke on the Water! :spoton:

Just have to change the name from Tom to Vik in your last post

The very first LP I bougth was CCR Cosmos factory and as it happened that was the first LP SWMBO bougth,my second was Whos Next by The Who,price sticker on it says $6.20,

When DP realeased Who Do We Think We Are, the price went up to $7.00 and I remember Molly used the headline in Go Set,who do they think they are putting up the price of records.

Glumm wouldnt even know what an 8 track was...

When I went to look at buying an XY for the first time, took the boys along and looking at the door handles they asked how do you open the door, push a button WTF
