The closest thing to it I can find online is a Sea Vixen. I don't think it was though, cos the fuselage was much rounder and fatter.

sea vixen is a tubojet and not prop powered, so bit hard to guess..im not aware of any MV-22B in the area so its unlikely it was anything like that either and im pretty sure you would hear and fell that sucker......right before it crashes :P

 

as for windy on the ground if the config of engines is horizontal its likely any downward force will be felt at all

Haha it definitely wasn't that.

 

It had a twin boom tail that was higher than the fuselage like the sea hawk, and had massive, swept back, negative dihedral wings. When I wrote about it yesterday I was sure it had props but now I'm not 100%.

 

I am sure that it looked like it hovering at one point though.
