We returned to the camping area where Brad (and Dougy) proceeded to lift the cams out of his 7 year old engine so that the head studs could be re-torqued! He thinks it lifted the head a tiny amount on the track, coolant spray around the bay a bit. Food was cooked up and my better half and I enjoyed the screening of the original The Fast and the Furious movie on a blow up projector screen while Brad and his team finished up putting the engine back together with the help of the copsSunday morning rolled around (save and view it full size)Got a run in against Brendan, this was his first so he was advised not to go flat out the whole way, to allow himself to get a feel for the surface. Oops, the VF GTS run was Sunday morning, oh well.Nice view from the pitsCar also remained fairly decent looking throughout the weekend. Silver FTW in that respectBrakes also stayed nice and shinyMy final numbers from http://www.racewars.com.au, pretty happy with them and the main thing was I had a 10/10 weekend flogging my car against the field! So endeth a truly unique weekend!Drove her up, ripped it up, drove home again!Unlike some that are scared of yellow stickers and also out of E85 like Brad and Toads!Fuel/distance figures for the weekend Edited 14/04/15 05:07 PM by -Stever- 3

It's touch and go on if it will be back though, sadly. Has been run at a loss each year so far for the organisers, even with Motul getting on board this year as naming rights sponsor. Will be devo if it doesn't return!Still haven't cleaned out the inside of the car either. That dust gets everywhere! Edited 15/04/15 04:35 AM by -Stever- 1

Down significantly on my 2010 efforts even with the ZF rebuilt. Gonna have to get an exhaust (possibly turbo) leak fixed and hopefully that sorts it out. I actually tried removing the air filter (!) for runs #2 to #8 tonight but it didn't seem to help much...Got a 12.123 @ 115.97mph with my best ever sixty footer of 1.933, that's something I was happy about. And to come within two tenths of my PB but be down 5mph is interesting (read:frustrating). Got 3 runs with identical terminal speed...felt like I was at Racewars again Logs show I was making peak boost fine (16.8 actually) but maybe it's spooling slower due to the leak. Wasn't overly hot/humid or anything either. Debating on spending the money to get it checked on the dyno and see if it's OK before getting the leak plugged then another dyno after. Hope it's not something major! Oh and the torque logs reading every 0.25 seconds (not that fine I admit) show a 4 second 0-100 time on that 1.933 launch. Not bad. Best on the road I've had is 4.6 Edited 22/04/15 05:28 PM by -Stever- 1

Mine won't log without a USB linked to a laptop running LiveLink, sucks ass. Have to have a laptop running in the car while at drags etc....no good Edited 23/04/15 04:31 AM by -Stever- 1

Played with panorama and kinda got the car distorted/off centre in my otherwise favourite shot, oh well!Hehehehe. Weak single pegger isn't mine, don't worry. And here's oil use after 8100kms and that slight weep from the timing cover which hasn't been fixed yet. Was filled to the full line just before Race Wars on April 10th.Feels so lovely after an oil change. Maybe I should start dropping it at 5,000 instead of aiming for 7,500? Need to buy oil by the barrel... 1
