meh I wouldn't be to concerned, I always thought LSD's were a must as the last two vehicles I've owned had them standard. My tuner was surprised how well it gets got off the line and he tunes F6's and XR6T's every second day of the week. I've done a few hard launches and it's always peeled both wheels. Unless your a drifter I wouldn't worry about it.... IMO it's not the first thing that should be done to a G6ET, I'd be tuning it and saving for an Intercooler before changing the diff.

the utes run a solid (live) rear axel where the sedans run irs. im certain the centers wouldnt be interchangable, but being ford u never know. I would recomend lsd anyday. much quicker away from the lights, and everywhere els.

Much quicker

Except according to all published figures the G6E is faster than the XR6 with its LSD

And it's got nothing to do with spring rate

Really? Dream on.

I think they only time you'd be looking for a LSD was if you drove in a manner likely to result in infringements notices...and us G6ET drivers do not engage in that sort of behaviour.

In all seriousness though I was sceptical initially but three years later I can't say I've ever had the desire to put a LSD in it. It behaves beautifully in all conditions and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Hooking-in on roundabouts is the best example...a LSD will have the arse-end skipping around under more than light throttle.

...and best of all you miss out on the infamous diff whine at 95-105 km/h

Over my exhaust, tyres, gas pumps, and music I can't hear the LSD at all! :idunno:
