ratter Member 6,793 Member For: 20y 2m 2d Gender: Male Location: @ my laptop Posted 04/08/12 04:50 AM Posted 04/08/12 04:50 AM it is a on car tester, it test the ethanol content of the fuel being used, so is more accurate than taking a sample at the bowser because once it's in the tank it will mix with existing fuel and may change, it has proven to be more accurate than the test tube sampler I have used in the past, this shows E85 to be pretty much e85 while the test tube method shows in excess of 90%It also shows fuel pressure while operating, even while doing a run, it shows fuel flowing in the feed line and also the return line which then a heap of math channels can be used to work out fuel flow versus fuel used, instant litres used and plenty more but the main one is it shows whether the fuel pump has been maxed, which is not always evident before hand as opening injectors longer can cover any lack of fuel delivery to a certain extent.We've already proved that 1 x 044 was maxed at 400+ rwkw on E85, but it may have been a dud pump, but the owner has chosen to get a bigger pump to keep things safe 2
