Pretty sure I still have a hard drive on the shelf with less capacity than that.

I have the endurance range from then, a 256gb one from memory. Pretty sure they're just a binned version of the other ones to "guarantee" its longevity

Dash cam :)

Plan on (eventually) hard wiring the thing so I figured I'd pay the extra $5 or whatever it was for the endurance range seeing as it'll writing to it pretty much 24/7

I stand corrected, just went through my amazon orders, I bought the 128gb version for $28

yeah, your car battery won't allow the dashcam to record for more than a few hours even if the battery is brand new, while in "parking mode" of the dashcam. The only way to get bulk hours is to buy an expensive dashcam/car-wiring integrated big LiPo battery.

Plus, there's an "Endurance" (your one) range and an "Extreme" range (my one) and "Extreme Endurance" which is basically the most expensive.

I have 37 2200mAh LiPo batteries I got from work that I'm going to use to make my own integrated battery pack.

There is a project I did at work that I can use a reference for this :)

EDIT:

I'm not using all 37 🤣

Just in case that wasn't obvious haha
