This world

I had a billion things to do today that I thought were important

Then I get a call from my mum to say that what we thought was going to happen happened and I am going down to help her take my dog of ten years to be put down :(

She was my best friend since we adopted her (mum wouldn't let me take her when I moved out coz she loved her too much), and she's been hudos bestie for the last year and a half.

Gonna be a hard afternoon.

I fharken hate crying

Been through this myself recently, our dog had diabetes and just got way too sick and his quality of life had deteriorated significantly, was blind, couldn't do anything himself...could barely move. He was just so unhappy in the end. Took him to the vet and he said it was time...booked it in for the next afternoon and that 24hrs was one of the toughest days of my life. He lived to 12 which was a great run given the circumstances.

being told that we will be getting more training in other sections of the job to move us in the pay structure and be more available for other duties. toolbox meeting this morning and the new boss said not happening. your valuable employees where you are and we can lose you to other sections. after our previous manager lined it all up and had us signed to the area we were interested in. so $6 payrise out the window and then being told they have to drop employees numbers from 3300 to 2500. kick in guts and maybe our heads on the chopping block. farking government. also having all internal overtime outsourced at three times the rate. lost $25-30k there. I need a rum.

Thanks guys

Been a shat house day, crying doesn't agree with me as I don't usually display genuine emotion lol but I cried like a baby, she looked so peaceful and I'm glad she's not in pain anymore. Such a hard decision though.

Bizzy that sucks

Our ten year old pooch is on the long slow wind down. Has kidney issues. Hasn't affect his quality of life yet, but the day will come.

I'll be a dribbling mess when he goes.

ditch the government job mate they're f*cked. Gonna be nothing but cutbacks there. I worked for a company that was the main contractor for main roads electrical and even though it wasn't direct government employment it was stingy as f*ck cos they paid the bill basically. sh*t pay and bugger all overtime.

My dickhead neighbour knocked on my door at 230 this morning.

Lucky I was still up practising the bagpipes.
