Thanks all, she'd gone downhill fast and we had to make that tough call.  It was for the best, she struggled but was unable to push her rear legs up that morning.  She walked after being helped up but was wobbly and we could see where it was headed.  Vets were unable to say exactly what was wrong, multiple symptoms that didn't add up.

Where we buried her is a nice spot under two massive gums.  A butterfly was oddly out of place and hanging around for a while during the digging, which was somewhat calming and pleasant to see.  Universe reminding us we did the right thing perhaps.

I'm confident that some sort of shafting occurs...

My folks stayed recently and wanted instant - had to go and buy it because we don't even keep it in the house.

In hindsight I should have just grabbed an empty jar and stopped up some dirt from out the back. Pretty sure it's the same stuff.

Admittedly, I'm not overly fond of my current car...in that I don't get excited about it or anything, but I still like to look after it and keep it in good condition. But I came back to it just now and noticed a pin dent in the rear quarter panel...mother f*cker!
