I woke up and looked through the window and I saw Ford xr6 turbo on a parking lot, and it was mine. ::dancing:

Actually had a decent nights sleep last night :) First time in a while I've gotten 7hrs sleep up on site. It's nice waking up not feeling like complete death. Feeling a lot more positive this morning.

Wait till you have kids. The first year you look forward to feeding sessions 6 times a night.

then after that you spend endless nights tendering to them when they sick, regardless of you being sick too.

The fun bit is when you think you are out of the woods after 5 years, you then find them having nightmares.

However everyone keeps saying that sleep is overrated.

Caught the Shinkansen (high speed train) today
All that speed gave me a grin from ear to ear
Made me think that Australia's rail system is somewhat lacking

You'll be right mate, you don't have boobs.

The baby didn't wake me up once last night.

Nice, love the Shinkansen. Much better than flying, more room and comfort.

I see that my influence is working.... nah mate I am just kidding. Just remember that everyone is different and not all kids are the same.

also the lack of sleep at the begining has to be managed by both parents.

if your partner is willing to express milk and freeze it, you guys can take turns feeding the baby, which means you should be able to get 4 hour sessions of sleep.

I know of parents that withing 6-8 weeks of life, the baby sleeps through the night (most of it in any case).

Don't let keyboard warriors like me influence you. There are joys in having kids and raising them, which far outweigh those initial sleepless nights.

if you at the mines, it won't affect you. If you are at home during that week, well you dont have to go to work which means you can catch up on your sleep during the day. Wht you complaining about hey????
