Yeah nah it's a bit hit and miss whether it will embed a .jpg link from the interballs. Even more hit and miss embedding a .gif link.

 

I've got no farken idea what's up so I just blame keef and be done with it.

now you have to open the link in another window and copy and paste the url like this

I copy pasted that link and it embedded straight away.

nothing has changed... The first one is a BBCode link, no? has [ IMG ]imageURL [ / IMG ], right?

I don't use those and have noticed over the years that the users have struggled a little to use them. No biggie as this forum is supposed to be used with direct links like you used the 2nd time that worked.

the BBCode link has worked for years

 

it stopped working about a couple of months ago

 

that's why @JETURBO is having probs

he hasn't tried to upload a pic for a while and what used to work doesn't anymore

if you guys are serious, take some screenshots of how it is currently working versus what you would expect and send it to me in a PM explaining what changed. To be clear; nothing has changed in the picture embedding process of this forum's code.

 

What's possible is that browsers have changed since the code for the forum was and this has caused an incompatibility.

this still works for me when I type (or copypasta it from a txt editor) ->

so; this is the exact text you would have copied from the imageshack page -> "https://imageshack.com/i/pmzjZhPJj"

 

(press the "display as link instead" at the bottom of the post edit box for it to change the image back to a text link)
