Btw it's hit and miss with the dodgy china eBay obd2 dongles, read threads where ppl have gone through 2 or 3 only to have to get a proper branded one to have a stable connection and output. I wouldn't risk it personally. I got the BT1a from amazon http://gopointtech.com/products/

I've also been planning on getting a cover from the wreckers and cutting a hole for the dongle to pole through, so I can keep one clean.

The slimline one for $15 is junk unfortunately been there done that

Good to know. I've only used the bigger version a couple of time with the Torque Lite app and it worked ok.

I initially bought the innovate obd2 wifi gear, and their iphone app. I couldn't see trans temp though so I sold it.

I now have the intercept obd2 gauge which can see trans temp.

It's down to the codes whether the obd2/app know what the code means. If anyone knows the code for trans temp I have to know it!!!

Mate you might get lucky and it works out but plenty of forums out there with ppl saying they have problems, it's pot luck with odds not in your favour. Even if u get lucky and others follow u they have a high chance of havin probs too.

But gl anyways. Watch out for it being slow or unstable and unreliable.

Using torque pro here. If you go in to the settings and add a "predefined PID set", you can select Ford. It makes a lot of extra PIDs available to you.

There's a couple of different transmission temp ones.
