W A Two Day Mega Cruise! 21-22 Sept 2013

Okay, so in September, there's going to be a two day run down to the Southwest timber country.

There's some great driving roads down that way with ample opportunities to bend a speed limit and rail some fun corners to get some use out of these great cars of ours.

Leaving from Southern suburbs at a leisurely 10.30am Saturday and cruising to Bunno and then following some fun roads that I ride on the bike on a regular basis that will take us through some back roads through some country towns and some great scenery

Overnight stop will be in scenic Pemberton where we'll all spend some quality time with the WAGS and forum members at the Pemberton hotel in the main street which has great pub meals and is also a Best Western Hotel (you book your own room) with plenty of parking around the back.

Then leaving Pemby at a lazy 9.30 to 10am and following a few more fun back roads back up to the Southwest Highway and back home by mid to late arvo Sunday.

I have the route map mostly roughed out and will put some finishing touches on it to include ample rest and regroup stops.

Aiming for a fun and missus friendly weekend away.

So, who's keen ?

I would be keen, only I have an invitation for a members son's christening on the 22nd, so the weekend of 21-22 September is out for me (and for that member I assume).

Kids are so inconvenient !

If you were super keen, you could leave Pemby early and be back home late morning.

I left manjimup just after sun up once and was home by 9.30. But that was on a bike and way back when I had little respect for speed limits.

I've grown up a lot since Anzac Day.

Also note that the 21st weekend is the preliminary finals for AFL for anyone that cares.

I don't know if there's a game Saturday but we'll cross that bridge when we know if it'll clash, or if anyone is that bothered.
