Lolwut? 330nm is only 220ood ftlbs. The average 1/2" torque wrench will romp that in.

I watched one of the guys at XFT do mine (Sean) who is about my size and he looked to be under a bit of strain, and works on cars all day. It was up in the air though maybe above shoulder height, lowering it a bit would have made it easier. I'm sure I could do it pushing up using legs as well but yeah...not keen on garage floor.

Wait maybe it would be OK pulling it up and standing...anyway I won't need to find out for another 100,000km hopefully :)

Steve 220ftlbs is not that tight. I wouldn't say its a one handed job but it ain't far off. Next time you need a set we'll throw it up on the big yellow jack stand and I'll show you.

Also the trick for bigger torques is to position yourself so you can pull up and use you quads. Legs are quite strong ya'know

first double post?

My 1/2 inch (admittedly cheap micrometer adjustable torque wrench) only goes to 210Nm (~150ft-lbs).

Yeah that's what I was saying in the edit, pulling up on it and standing, to use legs more. Would worry about accuracy if I was doing it like I do wheel nuts which are a bit less than half the torque.

Sounds like a good offer, I'll do more handbrakies on uneven ground so I can bust the rears again!
