Yeah I love doing this, whether on the bike or in a car.

You get away from home for a night, get to carve up some fun roads you only see once or twice a year at speeds you dont normally achieve around the Perth region, certainly not for any sustained length of time, finish the day in a beer garden in one of the prettiest towns around, eat pub food (Kyle, you got a pic of George ?) have a big country pub breakfast the next day, the carve up some other roads. Then go home.

Trips like this combine many of my favourite things.

Yeh cruise + beers would be good and the only way to do that is staying somewhere.

I brought my low fi radar detector, eyeballs mk1.

We just set cruise control on the way there. Passed 3 cameras, including the new ultra long range ones, set up under the shade of a coolabah tree on (I think) Forrest Hwy.

Stupidly forgot to bring my new dual set of handheld UHFs...would be good for passengers to relay road hazards or if it's safe to overtake or not.
