do solar companies mention anything about the panels? how long they last? etc? wear out or lose efficiency?

nowhere near as good as yous guys

but we do have extended periods of rain, that's why its called the wet tropics  :yes:

Some solar numbers for people that care. Could be useful for people looking at a 10.5kw system in South Australia. 

 

29.94 today. It was fairly overcast.

 

My daily grid use is under 10 so we'll see how it progresses into winter. 

 

Have made 549kWh so far, in less than 2 weeks. Have exported 425.5 of that.

@arronm have a look at this one. You can see that it was fairly overcast today. It isn't ideal but there isn't much you or I can do to change the weather.

 

Fortunately I made 3 times as much power than I used, so it doesn't really matter about the cloud cover. 

 

We've got a couple of sunny days coming up over here in God's country so the solar output should be outstanding. 

 

Unfortunately there is also a couple of cloudy days due over the weekend, so I'm sure that my solar output will diminish.

 

It's ok though, I'll let you know how I get on.  :bbq:
