Haha BANG! You all laugh, but it's serving its purpose. I'll get another fast car one day, but for now I need to focus on getting into my own house and doing so in such a way as to not necessitate NEEDING to work FIFO indefinitely.

It's hard mate. 2 years out of FIFO and I still spend money the same way.

 

Just do what I did, buy a 'fast' car and tell yourself you're going to drive it sedately. It helps if you talk about fuel economy as "smiles per 100km" instead of litres.

Honestly not sure, Luke. I have a Finance degree as well though, so could always use that. If I was in FIFO long enough to pay off a mortgage then the initial pay drop would be less of an issue. I pissed away my money for the last 5 years, although the holidays were awesome, the cars were fun and I did pay off my HECS at least...so there's that. But I need to try make up for it now.
