I could tow the daily with the F6 to get into that category if you allow combined totals? Are you going Eff?

Yep I am entered so should be there. A couple of mates have entered aswell with 450+kW e series Falcons so we're planning to make a week of it down there. Another mate just missed out on his entry with his 600+kW el so hopefully some people drop out and he can get down there aswell.

Yeh should go pretty well hopefully. Bit worried about the motor as I would like to turn it up to 500kw for the weekend but it's untested territory for stock el rods. I'm on the lookout for a set of second hand xr6 turbo Pistons so I can put a half built motor together with some spool rods then I can lift the limiter to 7500 and not worry about making a conrod shower.

Atomic have a set of used stock size CP Pistons for $600. Give brad a call.

7500rpm is a big call for the I6 isn't it!?

Hmm might give him a ring and ask him cheers.

7500 is about as far as I would like to take it with standard rocker gear. I set the limiter at 6800 on my mates car with a standard motor for the last 3 years but am worried with more rpm that the stock rod bolts will stretch. Another mate has had his set at 7500 for 6 years now with a built motor and turns it up the 8000rpm for powerskids at powercruise. It's big rpm but as long as it has good lubrication and a good set of valve springs it's not really much diferent to the guys with SBC revving to 9000-10000rpm.

Check the skirt length on those CP's. Mine rattled like a mofo even with tight bore clearance.I wouldn't be comfortable running them up as high as your suggesting unless they have improved the skirts

The set I had looked like they should have been in a CRF450

Interesting wonder if they have made them in diferent skirt lengths. My mates has a set of CP's and has been in his for years but he also had them custom made as no one did a piston to suit the au SOHC chamber when he built it years ago. Do you have the thicker wrist pins in yours Ralph? The set I pulled out of my mates rb30 that was making around 450kw had a noticeable bend to them when rolling across the engineer bench couldn't believe it.
