My first ride in an XR6T was in a white BA in 2002 and it was a Telstra company car a mate in Perth was allocated!  Mega.

Yep a few mates in Telstra lease their cars through Telstra Fleet.  One has an Everest (drove down from Sydney on holidays) and the other a Ranger (tows his boat with it)

Mechanically they would be a good 2nd hand buy but the spec level would be low generally as the guys want to keep the costs down.  You  have to do a mod to revert back from head lights always on but that shouldn't be hard.

Everyone should be aware anyone can join us on this cruise - ideally should be a forum member or have some relationship to us :beerchug:

About to start packing so I can leave as early this arvo as I can.

Am going to spend the next 24 hours wondering what I forgot to bring.

edit: good news - can get into the cabin from midday (not the 2pm check-in) so should be all sorted to deal with clients tomorrow. Will mean it's only the 1 day (monday) I'm tied up.

Will try and sweet talk them into allowing us to use a firepit at night.

You too Gary - will be far more relaxed now knowing I'm not on a schedule to make it to the camp on time and that I'll be able to deal with "work stuff" tomorrow in case something crops up.

Hard part will be holding off the beers until the rest of the crew turn up ;)

Is that a thing? I'm pretty sure my hangover from yesterday will last until Sunday.

The fire danger season in the Flinder area is in effect until the 15th of April. I doubt we can have any fires apart from the bbq.

I did speak with the Belair lady and she thought it unlikely since they are in the National Park.  But yep - she confirmed the BBQ would be okay.

Yeah - she suggested to me that they officially don't, but would consider tasking a look at the conditions when we get there.

I doubt it too now - the weather looks far too nice for us.

Packed a speaker so we can have tunes around the non-existent campfire
