Why I oughta :nutkick:

 

Preheat the block and head for retorquing after it cools. Took ages and it got to about 50C, good enough.

Cheers, it's getting there and I'm pretty excited to see how the turbo goes. It's all torqued and timed up now, and ready to close up. Haha yes it is browner than brown but it's a 370xxxkm engine that was neglected before I got it.

need one of those industrial strength parts cleaner thingo's, throw all the parts in, clean-em-up and then re-assemble haha

I know the one you mean but I ain't got one lol. I've got a 180L parts washer and everything got washed, rinsed and dried.

 

The engine is back together now, I'll stop for lunch and put it in the car after. I also remembered to install the right rocker cover to suit the coils. I didn't paint it though, so it'll have to stay in primer until dinosaurs roam the earth again.

haha 180L should do the job... the metal must have grime in between it's molecules or something if it's still that brown after a parts washer trip haha
