Forum Revamp: New Look, Smarter Layout & Donating Member Updates

Hey everyone,

 

After more than 23 years of history, builds, and good banter, FordXR6Turbo.com has been given a long-overdue refresh. The aim? To make the forum cleaner, faster, easier to navigate, and more aligned with today’s users - all while keeping the content and community spirit that make this site what it is.

 Forum Overhaul: What’s New?

🗑️ Removed Inactive Areas

Sections that were no longer being used -  like old vendor areas, expired merchandise threads, and empty regional boards -  have been retired. These added unnecessary clutter without contributing meaningful content.

🔁 Merged Similar Topics

To make browsing and posting easier, some related forums have been brought together:
 

• Turbo, Intercooler, and BOV → now under Forced Induction Workshop

• ECU, Fuel Systems, Induction → now combined into Engine Management & Fuel Systems

• All 300+ to 700+ rwkw “club” areas → merged into a single High Power Builds section

• Group Buys → integrated into the Classifieds & Group Buys forum

• Focus & Mondeo XR5 → combined into Euro Turbo Fords

🗂️ Event Areas Reorganised

Cruise and event forums have been streamlined into key regions:

• East Coast → NSW, QLD, ACT

• Southern States → VIC, SA, TAS

• Western & Northern → WA, NT

• New Zealand remains open for future use

🏷️ Clearer Forum Titles & Descriptions

We’ve tidied up the names and labels across the site to better reflect what each section is about. Examples:
 

• “UTEopia” → now Falcon Utes

• “Multimedia” → now Media & Projects

• “Suggestions / Problems” → now Site Support & Feedback

 A Fresh New Look — With a Familiar Feel

You’ve probably noticed the new logo and design.
 

The site now features a cleaner, more modern layout with simplified navigation and improved mobile responsiveness.
But we’ve kept the original theme and spirit that long-time members will still recognise -  just with a fresh coat of paint.
 

We’ve also updated forum icons and visuals throughout to make things feel more consistent and easier on the eyes.

Donating Members — Simplified & Upgraded

We’ve retired the old multi-tier system (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and launched a brand-new Donating Member subscription with all the key perks rolled into a single tier.
 

Benefits include an ad-free experience and:

• 📩 Increased inbox capacity

• 🖼️ Larger avatar and signature space

All previous donors have been respectfully moved into a new Legacy Donating Members group — your support over the years remains acknowledged and appreciated.
