Hi all

So, rebuilding an 2005 BF XR6T and took it for the first short drive.   The indicators, both left and right and hazard, either start hyperflashing immediately or will flash normally for 5-10 seconds then start hyperflashing.   No LED's have been fitted.  All bulbs are fine (and all have been replaced too with chrome ones front and rear and new wedge sides), and when hyperflashing on the dash, they are doing the same externally.   And I have no idea why...

I will check the indicator stalk (I have an old one as I replaced that as the Auto word had been worn off) and will also pull out the cluster and check rear connections too (as that was out recently as was finding a fault where the fuel gauge did not work - now resolved after a lot of work), but just curious if this could be due to the wiring issues people report when lights fail?

I could not find anyone with this issue when searching but curious for any thoughts?

Thanks

does sound like the resistance on the circuit is dropping once something gets warm, which I'd personally get an auto-elec to investigate.

For the sake of clarity, the issue has been resolved.  I got lucky.   I decided to work on the rear lights first and changed both of the chrome indicator bulbs to sh*tty standard ones - and the  issue went away.  I have the same chrome bulbs on the front and have not changed these, but I imagine or or both of the rears was causing an issue - anyhow, totally back to normal now....  sods law eh!
