I am sure that ArronM can help me out here, but I am sure someone else will be able too.

I need to get more info about the bolts that hold the ECU in place. What size are they?

I got a new ECU cover and want to put it on, but before I do, I want to get the wiring sorted out for the shift light.

This means using the dremal to get rid of this bolts/screws and replacing them.

Anyone?

what style of ecu cover do you have? Must just stick on. Bolts are M6 coarse thread.

The connector directly in front of the top green arrow is the engine to chassis connector. It has all the inputs required to drive the shift light.

Luke, it is one of those stick on ones. However I want to get to the ECU wiring you mentioned so the shift light splicers can be put in.

One I have the ECU out for that, I want to be able to put it back in.

I will look for some hex head style M6 bolts. Down to Bunnings then.

You don't need to remove the ecu. Disconnect the engine side of the harness plug and remove the tape, and pair back the conduit and make your connections there.

Righty hoe. I will have a look at that when I get home. So there is a way to disconnect the clip without getting to the ECU?

I was under the impression that the ECU had to come out to get to the said CLIP.
