WAW 17th Feb is Boost Night.

Anything boosted gets in to race for $20. Turbo, Supercharged or Nitrous.

Probably gunna be a busy night.

I am hoping to make it out next week Wednesday. The minister of war and finance has given me the go ahead.

However I am finding it difficult to source myself a helmet. This is starting to sh*t me to no ends.

I have even been practicing my launch assists.....

 

I take it you won't be making it with the ute especially with the issues with the exhaust right?

Exhaust is sorted but I raced the bike last weekend and am racing again next weekend.

I'll probably still be there though as my young bloke is about to have his first ride on my GSXR1000 that we're setting up as his drag bike.

Also note there is a test and tune on Wednesday 17 for the upcoming top fuel meet so the track will be good.

I'm out that day :( good luck. You can get an approved helmet on ebay for 60 bucks.

Don't forget to turn tc off for the burnout [emoji14]

What are the requirements?

AS/NZS 1698 helmet is required.

I just checked this page

and I could have sworn that there was some sort of requirement for the helmet. I better check my helmet at home first to see if it conforms.

I am sure that I have  AS/NZS 1698, I will find out tonight.

I was there watching at gazzanats 2014 when it was white.  Was a crowd favourite after people initially laughed at the ten seconds it spent sitting quietly and spooling up.  Not sure what he was doing exactly that took so long but once it got going it was loud as FARK.

I mentioned it to Simon from XFT as I heard the engine was built by them.  Simon confirmed it was but that once it left his shop that was the last he saw of it IIRC.  Again this was in 2014 so I don't know what the current engine is.  Is it still the same one or was it modified further?
