I learnt some basic German and French from school but next time I go away I'll learn their language. Kind of makes it easier and the german locals tended to be nicer when I busted out some german in an aussie accent lol. BUT that said, at first it was daunting not knowing italian / arabic etc but you realise English is widely spoken (well understood at least) and its easy enough to get aroundD, I dont doubt they'd have a lavish wedding!
