Gotta stick with spirits and diet mixer/water if you don't wanna blow up into the Michelin man. There is still 7 calories per gram of alcohol but it doesn't have the carbs that beer does.

The scotch is always single malt and neat

The irish is for out and about when a mixed drink is on the cards

It was usually a bourbon and coke, but the cokes off the table

Interestingly enough though, the nicest whiskey I've ever had (neat) is actually an Irish whiskey - Midleton Very Rare...un-farking-believable!

Hmm, reminds me - I really need to sort out a liquor cabinet at home soon so it's not all just crammed into the top of my pantry...

 FTFY :declare:

I recently tried some spiced whiskey and also some spiced rum. The missus liked it which is saying something. The stuff is so smooth and drinkable it makes me glad I live half an hour from Dan Murphys. Register for free for plenty of discount drinks.

Dropped into the Cheeky Squire to catch up with Gary (Evildafu) for a quick lunch with another mate (Pomph - came on the last Tassie cruise with us)

Menu looked great, but went a salad :S

Spiced rum is great! Haven't tried spiced whiskey though. One of the most curious tasting whiskey's I've tried is Old Pultney 12yr old - it's got a salty aftertaste, which is actually rather nice.

I grabbed some pasta from the mess for lunch today...but turns out it didn't have any meat or anything in it...I was dissapoint. So I went and got a pie and some Reese's peanut butter cups from the cafe haha

I haven't tried enough brands/types of either to say which is better but I prefer rum generally.

Also if I ever become president ima make my slogan: "I like pies!".
