Barbagello doesn't look like an easy track to get the lines first go.

Kinda. It's quick to get them, longer to maximise them. The esses are the best part of the track. If you can get to the high end of 4th (in a street falcon) whilst nailing the apexes going through them you are flying - best feeling. As it's either glory or wall.

Nah mate.  It's coming out of the basin.  Car or bike it's sideways and laying rubber till the top of the hill

 

 

But on a bike it's a wheel stand half way down the hill as well.

You will enjoy it I never did timed laps on the long track, but managed a 58.013 in a 1799kg 315rwhp barge on the short track. So that's your FG yard stick

Think Adrian got a 58.xx in his silver Tornado didn't he?  Long time ago now, think that was short track?  Could have been long track since his was modded though, would expect it to outperform the your stock FG XR8 time!

58 long track I doubt it.  I only go 62 on a super bike long track.
