A study in 2012 gave an approximation of 812K  for 2 kids 0 to 18 years

That's $433 a week per kid. That's $1735 for 4 kids.

 

I can tell you that I don't spend that much on my kids and aren't ever likely to.

apparently, people spend from 21% to 41% of their income on kids depending on their income bracket and number of kids
