I tried to get a pic of it but it had run for cover by the time I retrieved my phone for a pic. The only difference was the actual beast had dark brown pincers.

I've noticed dozens of funnel web lairs in my yard lately. I might have to look at some form of pest control, cos I don't want them coming inside when it cools down.
