Sitting in a waiting room of a doctors surgery and think I’ve already got leprosy and probably aids from being here for more than 30 seconds. One receptionist was quizzing a patient because he literally had no contact number and she was borderline abusing him for it. The desk is about to fall down I swear. The worst part is that the clinic is full of people which reflects the current health crisis where we don’t have enough doctors or for that matter all medical facilities. Government needs to stop worrying about tax cuts and promises and fix our broken health care system.

Ive seen some horrible things. However its more in reference to things like our new NRAH and the cock ups made continually with funding etc. SA has one of the highest waits on surgery lists. Our system isnt isn’t broken but it’s heavily fractured in places and the GP system is one of them in a lot of cases. To the flip side is if be shelling out 30k per year minimum for the new medication I have to take for the rest of my life, which is covered by the PBS. So it’s not all stuffed. I think the elderly is where our focus isn’t the greatest tbh.
